Sphinx 0.1 provides a pre-push comprehension quiz and explicitly remains bypassable and not a security gate.
Sphinx adds an optional comprehension quiz before Git pushes
Sphinx 0.1 installs a global Git hook that calls a separate model to quiz the user about committed diffs before a push. A correct answer resumes the push, while pause, skip and disable paths remain available. It supports Codex, Claude Code and other providers and explicitly says it is practice, not a security gate.
What this means for you
Checking whether a human understands agent-written changes is a useful goal, but this implementation is bypassable, sends code to a reviewer provider and lacks independent evidence on real projects. It is not worth adding to a mandatory workflow yet.
Public artifacts and validated results are different.
The recorded fact is the public work and its artifacts. Author-reported outcomes do not establish independent reproduction. Next checks include usable code, task conditions and third-party validation.
