NVIDIA opens Metatron humanoid controller weights

NVIDIA published ungated Metatron v1 controller weights for the Unitree G1 humanoid plus two browser ONNX exports. The artifacts cover walking, scene interaction and recovery behaviors. The release does not include the training dataset or a complete reproduction package, and the surrounding motion assets use separate terms.

What this means for you

For robotics teams, runnable weights and browser exports lower the first evaluation barrier. They do not establish task success or hardware safety, so physical deployment must remain outside the initial trial.

FRONTIER WATCH

Public artifacts and validated results are different.

The recorded fact is the public work and its artifacts. Author-reported outcomes do not establish independent reproduction. Next checks include usable code, task conditions and third-party validation.
