OpenCode's stable release notes confirm persistent terminals, experimental artifacts, schedule coordination and reliability fixes.
OpenCode persists terminals and adds experimental agent artifacts
OpenCode 2.2.4 makes desktop terminals session-scoped, preserving names and scrollback across server restarts and synchronizing them across the TUI and windows. An opt-in provider API lets agents create, update and serve HTML or static artifacts, while schedules run under opencode serve with single-fire coordination. Version 2.2.5 adds percentage-based compaction buffers and repairs large MCP stdio messages, LiteLLM context errors and reasoning preservation across model switches and resume.
What this means for you
For coding-agent teams, persistent terminals and coordinated schedules reduce state loss in long tasks, while artifacts turn the agent into a lightweight preview surface. The artifact and schedule paths remain experimental and need restart and duplicate-fire tests before adoption.
